Yankee Candle launch candles in support of LGBTQI+ organization, Rainbow Railroad • Basenotes

Yankee Candle’s parent company, Newell Brands, have launched two candles for Pride 2023. The candles aims to highlight the work of LGBTQI+ organization, Rainbow Railroad.

Rainbow Railroad is a global non-profit organisation that helps LGBTQI+ people facing state-enabled persecution to find safety through emergency relocation and other assistance. In a time when there are more displaced individuals than ever before, LGBTQI+ people are uniquely vulnerable due to systemic, state-enabled homophobia and transphobia. These factors either displace them in their own country or prevent them from escaping harm.

Yankee Candle’s Love for All is described as “A fragrance of universal love for any and all identities and expressions. Sparkling and brightly inspired with a deep mineral aura, filled with comforting notes of peony, driftwood and amber.”

The full notes list is: Top: Fresh Air, Sheer Peony, Crystal Freesia; heart notes of Clary Sage, Deep Sea Minerals, and Driftwood; and base of Mineral Musk, Patchouli, and White Amber.

The second scent, under their Friday Collective brand is “Free to Be”. The scent is exclusive to Target, and is described as “an uplifting blend of dewy greens, glittering rain drops, soft rose petals, and grounding wood moss”
